Ensor writes at large about his search in modernising art, i.a. listing the exhibitions of his works, explaining the modern aspects of the work, and complaining about his isolation and the lack of interest in his work. (...) = Interesting letter, probably adressed to Jean Cassou, in which Miró writes enthousiastically about the positive response he has received on his retrospective (at the Musée Nationale d'Art Moderne in Paris, of which Jean Cassou was director): "Je dois encore vous dire comment je suis fier de que vous ayez organisé cette rétrospective qui a fait connaître mon oeuvre en Europe. He goes on to write that they had asked Urvarter (an important Belgian collector of modern art) if he could lend them a painting from 1937 "qui entrait dans cette ligne d'évolution. With an annotation by Cassou[?] asking if there has been any news about "cette combinaison proposé par Miró à Urvater, à la suite de ma conversation avec celui-ci, rencontré à La Haye et d'une lettre à Miró?
