= In this extensive travelogue, Ina describes her train journey with a group of five people along the Rhine in 1870, starting in Steenwijk (Netherlands) via Elten (just across the German border) to Cologne. Here, she stays in the luxurious Dom-Hotel. Next, she travels to Bonn, Rolandseck, Remagen, (Schloss) Ahrenthal, Koblenz, Köningswinter and back to Cologne.

Temminck. 1820" (p.104-118; report in rhyming verses, "Op de reede van Batavia na eene reis van 115 dagen" at the end); "Waarschuwing tegen Diefstal" (p.119-120; "Rouveen 20 November 1832. (get.) C.L. Temminck" at the end); "Ter gedachtenis der terugkomst van mijne geliefde Vrouw Anna Elisabeth Leyendekker met het beurtschip van Amsterdam op Genemuiden op den 19 September 1833 (...)" (p.121; poem, "Uwe liefhebbende man (was get.) C.L. Temminck" at the end); a polemic poem featuring i.a. Hoynck van Papendrecht, John Jardine and "Heer Wolpert" (p.(122-125) and upside down at the other end 6p. with "Geslacht Register der Familie Temminck". Interesting manuscript, i.a. extensively on Temminck's stay in Indonesia, where he lost his first wife.

77 2068 VOC and WIC Letter signed Prinsipaal Matth's Schenkenberg = From 1697 to 1701, Mattheus Schenkenberg was the commander of the old Portugese fort on Ceylon, that was conquered by the Dutch in 1658. In this letter Schenkenberg refers to all his previous governmental servitudes to the VOC and he wishes to get compensated as befits a commander of his stature.

Rich and well documented archive, spanning over three centuries. Contains i.a. 1. "Extract uijt het Register der Resolutien van haer Ed: Moog. De Heeren gecommiteerde Raden ter Admiraliteijt op de Maze" (dated "1659", containing a contract with "Pieter van Waesberge, boeckverkooper hier ter Stede", to supply the Admiralty with "papier, pennen, Registers, passepoorten, Cardoes-papier en de diergelijcke behoeften"); 2. contracts and notarial documents regarding the transfer of the firm and its commissions from Abraham van Waesberge to his son Pieter (all dated "1699"); 3. similar documents regarding the transfer of the firm to Pieter, Gerard and Hendrik van Waesberge (all dated "28 Febr. 1737"); 4. two similar documents regarding the transfer of the firm to Hendrik van Waesberge (both dated "15 Maert 1777"); 5. similar documents regarding the transfer of the firm to the (widow) Pieter van Waesberge (dated "1811"); 6. correspondence between the secretary of the city of Rotterdam and the "commissie voor plaatsel. financien" (early 19th cent., regarding the delayed delivery of printed matter due to lack of type); 7. a letter by Adriana Francisca Landman, the widow P. van Waesberge to "Waarde Zoon" [Pieter Anthonij van Waesberge] (not dated (early 19th cent.), regarding the loss of a commission to print all government documents for the city of Rotterdam); 8. proofs for a register of the "Nationale Vee-Verzekering-Maatschappij" and short manuscript letters by its directors A.J. = Yonnie Scheidius came from a well-to-do family that lived at Menthenberg near Arnhem. She apparently left home for England in 1915. The first part consists of farewell wishes by her family and friends (mainly in English and French), as well as about 20 entries by tennis friends on occasion of a tournament played at Noordwijk in August 1915. Later on she lived in the UK (betwen 1916-1919) and visited the Watermouth Convalescent Home for wounded officers in October 1916. The snapshots show scenes at Watermouth Castle with nurses and convalescing officers as well as views of the countryside and neighbouring villages.
77 2072 World War II Kujau K 1938 2000 = German artist and forger of World War II memorabilia Konrad Kujau gained notoriety as the author of the so called Hitler Diaries, which for some time were believed to be authentic. In 1983 Kujau sold the manuscripts to a journalist for 2.5 million DM, who in turn sold it to Stern Magazine for 9.3 million. When the diaries turned out to be forgeries, Kujau turned himself in and spent 3 years in jail.
77 2073 World War II Postcard signed by Maximilian Goldenberg = Maximilian Goldenberg and his wife Hanna Goldenberg-Mendes Chumaceiro, certified German translators residing in Amsterdam, were arrested (probably in 1942) and interned in Kamp Westerbork before being transported to Bergen-Belsen on 15 February 1944. On his card, Maximilian asks the addressee to send any food or money she can spare: "Ik dank je ten zeerste voor de pakjes, die je mij gezonden hebt. Dit is vooral voor de kinderen zoo noodig, daar je weet dat Kurt zoo groot en veel te mager is. Als je boter, Duitsch brood en jam kunt missen en andere belegsels voor de boterham dan zijn deze zeer welkom.". Maximilian died in Bergen-Belsen on 18 March 1945 while Hanna died on 7 April, one week before the camp's liberation by the British army.
77/2074 Woudrichem Manuscript document = Dowdall Pigott (surname probably misspelt Piggot), 1719-1785, came from a wealty Irish family and was the 7th child of Southwell Pigott (1670-1756), who was married "at Woodrichen, Netherlands, on 2 May 1705, to Henrietta Wynanda Van Der Graaf." This explains his having property near Woudrichem.
